Business Development Specialist

 

Summary

Virtus Groups is looking to add a new Business Development Specialist to expand our professional services business. The Business Development Specialist will take over an established set of inside sales strategies and business development plans that encompass all of Virtus Groups’ services. The successful candidate will be expected to successfully execute on these strategies and aid in the optimization of sales strategies. The Business Development Specialist will be supported by the Virtus Groups team to drive new business and fulfill client engagements. Responsibilities

  • Conduct insides sales activities
  • Own the net new client acquisition activities by overseeing and managing lead generation activities
  • Conduct discovery meetings and aid in the closing of new client engagements
  • Growing and developing a client database through building client relationships, cold outreach and client/prospect visits
  • Follow-up with clients & prospects to confirm their needs are met
  • Lead the inside sales cycle, with full support from the Virtus Groups team
  • Involved in client engagements and service delivery, as required for any particular engagement

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant sales experience
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • Track record as a professional service-oriented salesperson
  • Excellent customer service skills and a natural sales ability
  • Flawless communication, both verbally and in writing and sharpened presentation skills

Compensation: base salary with large potential performance based potential
