Canada Startup Newsletter – 16 June
Another Canada-wide edition of our startup newsletter has just been published. This edition profiles three Canadian startups who, by using new technologies, are providing their users with vastly improved services compared to what the current market can offer.
The three startups we feature have identified genuine pain points their customers are experiencing. Rather than trying to provide a new answer to the old questions these customers are asking, these companies have changed the playing field by utilizing novel technologies and approaches to offer new solutions.

iMerciv is a Toronto based start-up leveraging crowdsourcing and AI to empower pedestrians with personalized navigation and actionable data in real time for safe, convenient and accessible trips. Their app, MapinHood, runs on iMerciv’s custom AI routing engine that is built for the flexibility of pedestrian travel, resulting in the most personalized and inclusive navigation experience.
Metavest is an investment platform which serves both security issuers and investors. Their goal is to provide a complete financial solution for investors which takes care of daily banking, cross border payments, savings and investment through one application.
